Beautiful, Brilliant, Dazzling Gemstones


My friend told me last week, "My wife can't get her mind off of this ring she found with a big red stone.  It has been all she has talked about for days.  She is telling everybody about it!"

As I laughed, I had to admit.. I do the same thing.  I have always loved big colored stones more than diamonds or gold.  So when I first came across them in the bible, I was elated.  After all, if gemstones were precious in the bible, then my fascination with them surely was from God!!

As I researched further, I found that gemstones and pearl gates would be mainstays and the foundation of the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21).  I was fascinated by the fact that  Moses received the very specific instructions for Aaron's breastplate to be made of colored gemstones. (Exodus 28)  Important for the adornment of a high priest?  Must be important for us to understand.

Gemstones in Business?

Evidently, in today's volatile money markets, gemstones are holding their value.  So as a business investment, it might be a wise decision.. or LORD'S will for us to understand their value.
