Even though she did not choose abortion, this movie: Glamorizes teenage pregnancy and portrays the issue as a pop culture adventure Portrays men and boys as stupid Suggests that Teacher/Student relationships are normal Encourages single parent families Attempts to portray the "pulse" of American Values as bafoonish, mundane, hopeless, and dark.
*Editor's note While we personally liked the actress Ellen Page, and her character was endearing, smart and witty, we believe that the popularity of this movie is unfortunate because these pop-cluture movies have a long- lasting effect on society and cause young people to look to the world to solve problems, instead of turning to God. Remember, Mark541 is all about Jesus!
Mark541 gives this movie a THUMBS DOWN
Last week CBS rolled out its summer programming. Among the other trash, this one, in particular, really made us mad. Swingtown, glamourizing the sexual revolution of the seventies, actually has the audacity to mainstream married couples having affairs. I hope that CBS is ready for the hellfire and brimstone it deserves.
