New York Fashion Week has undergone some major changes over the past few years. With Mercedes Benz pulling sponsorship of their notorious fashion week events - the landscape of the "new guard" of fashion events cropping up all over the island of Manhattan has gotten a bit more diverse and a whole lot more exciting!
One organization that is leading the charge to change the way fashion lover's take in New York Fashion Week is the Arts Hearts Fashion Week brand. Always benefitting the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the fashion show's founder - Erik Rosete started the Art Hearts Fashion brand in 2011. Rosete's talent to mix relevant and engaging sponsors combined with his eye for picking an absolute perfect venue for his shows, makes Art Hearts Fashion one of the most popular runway shows for media coverage in this new era of fashion.
Rosete, also the creator of his own fashion brand - Mister Triple X, a sophisticated streetwear line that has expanded since it's creation to include swim and resort wear - has expanded Art Hearts from coast to coast and just finished Miami Swim Week where he landed D Squared 2 on his over the water runway at SLS Hyde Beach pool and in the Funkshion Tent the day before.
However, it is the venue that he has chosen for NYFW that is creating all the buzz in our media circles. Held at the beautiful and renovated, Angel Orensanz Center - a former gothic cathedral in lower Manhattan, with a stunning backdrop to the runway and a multi-level audience capacity - fashion lovers get treated an almost spiritual experience and that's not even counting the cutting edge fashion brands or curated art exhibits lining the runway from Six Summit Gallery, a New York and Connecticut fine art and entertainment company.
Art Hearts Fashion show will be held September 9th at the Angel Orensanz Center and tickets are on sale at eventbrite right now. Some of the designers include: Elie Madi, Pineda Colavin, Mister Triple X and just announced -- Nick Cannon will return to spin the tunes during Rosete's show! Don't miss this.
