Yeezy Season 01: Ye Returns to the Runway in Los Angeles

After more than four years away from a major fashion presentation, Ye (formerly Kanye West) staged Yeezy Season 01 on Wednesday night, November 4, at Droam 1, the brand’s new flagship at 4317 Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles. The 8 p.m. show doubled as a store opening and was streamed on Kick. It was the first full Yeezy runway since Season 9 in Paris in October 2022.

The staging skipped a straight catwalk. Models walked in circles around a large white hill inside the all-white space. The clothes stayed in the Yeezy lane: radical minimalism, mostly monochrome, moving from nude and white into olive and black. Women’s looks included form-fitting bodysuits, skin-tight jumpsuits, silver bikini pieces, over-the-knee boots, and softer unisex pieces such as short dresses and midi trench coats in technical fabric. Menswear leaned baggy: pants, bombers, hoodies, and high-neck jackets. Leather and jersey sat next to lightweight technical fabrics, with little ornament beyond oversized sunglasses and bags.

The guest list leaned music and streetwear. Complex reported 2 Chainz, Kid Cudi, Big Sean, ASAP Nast, Jerry Lorenzo, Natalie Nunn, and the Clermont Twins in the room, along with Ye’s wife Bianca Censori and daughter North West. Rapper Nettspend walked. Unreleased Ye tracks played through the show; social posts named one as “Out of My Mind.” Fan accounts said Ye left to a standing ovation.

Early reaction is split between the clothes and the comeback story. Whoopsee’s Sara Van Bussel called the collection a return to recognizable Yeezy codes, praising the monochrome minimalism and material play. On X, supporters shared look roundups and called the women’s pieces and new color range a step up; others shrugged that the clothes felt familiar. Fashion coverage heading into the night, including Design Scene, asked a harder question: whether renaming the line Season 01 is a true creative reset or mainly a publicity restart after the brand’s fallout with Adidas, Gap, and others following Ye’s 2022 antisemitic remarks. Ye published a Wall Street Journal apology in January 2026. The brand is also rebuilding retail through JD Sports and its own site, with the Yeezy 800 sneaker eyed for holiday.

For now, the night reads as spectacle plus soft relaunch. The clothes looked like classic Yeezy, the room was full of allies, and the industry is still deciding whether that is enough.
